A EASY & SUPER FUN Gummy Bears Recipe ~ from Bakell.com

As of late, I have gone a little "Gummy Bear" crazy! I started the other day when I made some for my niece and nephew, than I put together a "gummy bear making kit" for my friends sons birthday party, then I made multi colored bears, then I made adult vodka bears, then I made GLOW IN THE DARK gummy bears and most recently made gummy bear jewels for some Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cupcakes! So after several trial and errors, I decided to put together a blog of my favorite gummy bear recipes, "add on's" and projects! All the fun stuff you can make with a gummy bear recipe, whether your final product looks like a bear or not!

Bakell's Gummy Bear Recipe

1 - 3 oz box of gelatin (the stuff you get for Jello),in whatever color you would like (I don't advise getting the sugar free, I don't know if it would work the same).

Target sells these right now for .99 cents here

1 envelope (1/4 oz) package of unflavored gelatin

Target sells these right now @ $2.37 for 4 here

1/3 cup of cold water

That's IT! Just 3 things!

1. When you have all of these ready to go, the first thing you want to do is put your colored and unflavored gelatin powders in a microwave safe bowl together (stir a little).

2. Then you want to add the cold water and whisk it all together. Set this aside, and let stand for about 10 minutes.

3. While you're letting that sit for a few minutes, get your gummy bear mold ready. You're going to want to spray a little bit of cookie spray or oil onto a paper towel and dab each bear crevice just slightly.

4. After you have let this sit for a few minutes, you want to pop it into the microwave for 30 seconds.

5. Whisk your partially heated mixture a bit and pop it back into the microwave for another 30 seconds.

6. Whisk your slightly more heated mixture one more time and pop it back into the microwave for another 15 seconds.

7. Now you're ready to put these in your gummy bear mold, using the provided dropper that comes with the gummy bear mold add your mixture into each bear.

8. Pop this baby in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

9. Last, but not least, you're going to pop each bear right out of your mold like such.

10. You're ready to enjoy!

Add on's and Substitute

As I stated above, I have gone a little gummy bear crazy! So here are a few things that I did to alter the standard gummy bear.

1. I replaced the 1.3 cup of water with vodka..... These were surprisingly good! But make sure little fingers don't mistake them for kid friendly gummy bears!

2. I made these adorable party desserts! I used some colorful cupcake liners from Bakell, along with some cake pop straws from Bakell cut into thirds. As for the cups, I got these 6 for .99 cents at the 9 cent store! Wallah! An adorable party dessert at a great price!

3. Adding several colors to the same mold is always fun! :)
