My Favorite (No Milk) Buttercream Recipe 

This is my favorite buttercream recipe, its quick, easy and gets lots of compliments! No dairy products and holds up great! Add some additional powdered (confectioners) sugar for making roses and other designs needing a thicker texture.

Ingredients:

2 cups of shortening

1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract

¼ teaspoon of salt

1 Tablespoon of very hot water

4 Cups of Confectioners (Powdered) Sugar

Step 1

In a cup add the salt and hot water, swirl until it dissolves. In a mixer add the saltwater, shortening and Vanilla Extract, mix until creamy and blended.

Step 2

Add 2 cups of powdered sugar into the mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and blended.

Step 3

Add the remaining 2 cups of powdered sugar into the mixer and blend in.

Double recipe as needed!
