Christmas Tree Cupcakes
Happy Holiday season Bakell Family! Are you ready to mix it up with Bakell by creating some amazing Christmas cupcakes? In order to pull this off, you'll need to break out that cupcake tray and mixing bowl.
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 1/2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
- 3/4 TSP BAKING POWDER
- A LARGE PINCH OF SALT
- 6TBS UNSALTED BUTTER
- 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 2 LARGE EGGS
- 1 TBS PURE CARAMEL EXTRACT
- 1/2 CUP PLUS 2 TBS BUTTERMILK
First things first! Let's make the cupcake.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line your cupcake pan with Bakell's Solid White Cupcake Liners and set it aside.Take the flour, baking powder and salt and mix them in a medium-sized bowl. Once it's completely mixed through, set it aside.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy. Add the eggs in one at a time, beating them in fully before adding another. Then add the caramel extract in. Once it's all mixed up, add the flour mixture in alternately with the buttermilk. You should add in the flour mixture first and it should also be the last thing added in.

Divide the mixture in evenly with all the liners, filling them to about 3/4 full.
Bake them for about 20 minutes and let them cool for 5 minutes.Once they are fully cooled, to the point where the frosting won't melt when it's been piped on, you can begin decorating!
Here's what you'll need to decorate:
Do you know the easiest way to fill a piping bag? Cut the tip of the bag and slide the piping tip into the bag. We went with the Wilton 1B, but you are free to choose whichever style of frosting tip you want.
Once the tip is inside the bag, take a cup and bag inside, folding the ends of the piping bag over the cups edges. Then you can spoon the frosting in without the mess. Simply lift the ends of the bag up and you've got a ready piping bag!
Pipe the cupcakes and then you can really get the Bakell magic going.
We are going to separate the cupcakes into two different section designs. One section is going to be covered with Ivory Tinker Dust, to make it look like snow. Sprinkle it on to your hearts desire and then take all the 8mm Beads and White Pearl Mini Beads and place them onto the cupcake. The second section is going to be with the Classic Green Luster Dust. You can sprinkle it on and leave it in its dusty form, or you can blow the excess off so it has an amazing gradient effect. For these, place the 8mm Beads on strategically along with the stars.
