All of our edible food-grade dusts & glitters contain various mica powder pigments and go through a specific manufacturing process allowing the mineral to be edible & consumable. Ingredients found in our edible glitter & dust brands include dextrose, rice starch and color additives specifically approved for food use, including mica-based pearlescent pigments and FD&C colors such as FD&C Blue No. 1. The FDA has approved all of the ingredients being used in our edible glitters & edible dusts based on the FDA approved ingredients & usage levels. Our facilities are FDA registered, audited by CA State, and routinely inspected by County Health Department officials. YES! Our edible products are Kosher Certified by the VAAD of Northern California, Sunrise Kosher (www.sunrisekosher.org). Kosher Certification is the stamp of kosher approval by a rabbinic Agency verifying they have checked the products ingredients, production facility and actual production to ensure all ingredients, derivatives, tools and machinery have no trace of non kosher substances. Yes, this is correct. Products that contain Shellac are not considered vegan. We are not aware of any shellac that is considered vegan. Our Technical Data Sheets do state that products which contain Shellac, or carmine are not vegan.
