In other words, we know the glitter, luster dust and disco market really well — we have been doing this a long time! Ok, So what makes Brew Glitter® so different than other edible dusts out there?

Brew Glitter® is not your typical “luster dust, petal dust, disco dust or dazzler dust” which you can buy at any craft store or hobby store like a Michaels® or any other cake decorating supplies store (and even at Bakell.com of course, wink~wink). Luster dusts and other like products are made for food and confectionery items first, everything else is second. In other words, luster dusts and petal dusts are not designed or manufactured to go in beverages, so although it kind of works, it really doesn't. So why is this important to know?

Brew Glitter® is a far, far more “fine-grounded" powder which allows the glitter to suspend and swirl in a drink for a much longer period of time as opposed to a typical luster dust which will either float to the top or sink after 15-20 seconds or so. So although Brew Glitter® has similar characteristics to glitters and dusts like luster dusts, the fact is Brew Glitter® dusts and glitters could not be more different.

Most importantly, Brew Glitter® sparkles and shines, Brew Glitter® is FAR more “pearlescent” than even the shinest luster dusts out there. Meaning it is far more glittery, sparkly and shimmery than that of a typical luster dust or disco dust to allow our beverage-ready Brew Glitter® glitters to really shine and sparkle through the liquid.

All of our Brew Glitter® and Brew Dust® products contain various mica powder pigments and go through a specific manufacturing process allowing the mineral to be edible and consumable. Common ingredients in edible glitters or dusts can include acacia (gum arabic), maltodextrin, cornstarch, and color additives specifically approved for food use, including mica-based pearlescent pigments and FDandC colors such as FDandC Blue No. 1.
