The answer to this question is really up to you! You can both brush it in the mold before pouring chocolate or you can dust it on the chocolate after it has been demolded! We recommend playing with it at home as there's no way to do it wrong. It's all about what works for your personal preference. 

When a cakesicle requires a stick, sometimes it can be challenging figuring out where to put it. The good news is, our cakesicle molds have an opening for the stick to go. We recommend the sick is at least an inch to 2 inches inside the mold depending on the size of the mold. If it's smaller we recommend an inch at least. If it is a larger cakesicle we recommend at least 2 inches.

We find the best chocolates to use with our cakesicle molds is any chocolates that are meant to be melted. Chocolate that is meant for melting is always called "candy melt chocolate" and that's perfect for our molds!

When waiting for chocolate to set, times can vary. It all depends on room temperature, if there's air blowing, etc. We recommend putting molds in the refrigerator and giving them an hour to be safe. Two hours if it's a bigger mold. We DO NOT recommend putting them in the freezer due to after freezing when taking the chocolate out and keeping it at room temp it may "sweat".

We recommend dusting Tinker Dust on top of your creation. If you're looking for a certain color or to dye your chocolate, check out our petal dusts! They are perfect for dyeing chocolate as their pigment is vibrant and completely safe to eat! Using Luster and Tinker Dust on your already demolded cakesicles as the cherry on top works best for that glitter and pearlescent shine!
