PUMP CLOGGING SOLVE - Don't worry, we are here to help! A clogged PUMP (nozzle and/ or spray hose) can and does happen! Pump clogging does come up occasionally when using this product, but we have some steps to get it working again!
Due to the nature of the ingredients in our products which are not all the exact same "particle size or shape", they may settle inside the pump and cause the mechanism to clog from time to time. Much like a straw in a smoothie or shake, where sometimes a "fruit chunk" gets stuck inside the straw preventing us to drink the smoothie through the straw, we just need to get it unstuck - and the same is true when using our amazing 25g PUMPS or 4G pumps! See below for tips & tricks;
The best tip when using a pump is by giving it a few firm taps and shakes beforehand to loosen up the product. If that does not get the pump working, please follow this first set of steps below.
These Steps work 90% of the time to get the product unstuck;
Step 1) Find a safe spot - you can always go outside to avoid a glitter storm in your kitchen!
Step 2) Take the pump mechanism out of the bottle, we recommend slowly taping it on the side of the bottle as you take it out.
Step 3) Press down on the pump and tap the product out from the holes at the bottom of the mechanism onto a dry clean surface to save the product.
Step 4) Make sure there are no chunks in the tube of the mechanism.
Step 5) Once it is clear, simply put it back together, and it should start working again.
Please try the above steps a few times to get the pump working.
If the above steps does not get it to work, use these next steps to fully wash out the pump with water.
*Note this method requires the pump to be 100% dry before using it again*
SECOND STEPS (If needed);
Step 1) Find a safe spot to remove the mechanism and then remove as much product in the mechanism as before.
Step 2) Using a sink. Hold down the pump and flush warm water through the opening at the bottom until the water is clear. You can submerge the whole mechanism in a bowl of water while pumping it to wash water throughout it. Please make sure the mechanism is clear of any clumps/products inside.
Step 3) To dry the mechanism, try to remove as much water as possible by holding down the pump and shaking out the water. Pat the whole thing dry to speed up the drying time. Then, lay it down to dry (Somewhere warm/hot works best.)
Step 4) Drying time can vary. It's important to make sure there are no water droplets in the mechanism. Test by pumping it with just air to make sure no water is in it. You can check this ever so often while it dries.
Step 5) Once 100% dry, put it back together and give the product a good shake before pumping.
